Credits are the currency of ModifAI: every action you take, like generating an image or a video, removing a background or upscaling, uses a defined amount of credits. Your wallet holds two types. Plan Credits are included in your subscription. You receive a set amount with each billing cycle, and they don't accumulate from one cycle to the next. Extra Credits are top-up packs you can buy whenever you need more. They stack on top of your Plan Credits and accumulate in your wallet. When you create something, your Plan Credits are always used first, so your Extra Credits last as long as possible.

When you use a feature, ModifAI always spends your Plan Credits first, since they reset each cycle and would otherwise expire. Once your Plan Credits are used up, it draws from your Extra Credits, starting with the oldest pack so that nothing goes to waste before its 180-day limit. An action is only blocked once both are empty.

Your Plan Credits reset at the start of every billing cycle, on your renewal date. You get your full allowance again, and any Plan Credits left from the previous cycle are not carried over. Extra Credits are never affected by this reset, they stay in your wallet.

You can buy Extra Credits at any time from your dashboard, on any plan. The only requirement is an active subscription (trial or paid), since Extra Credits are an add-on to a live plan. If your subscription isn't active, buying Extra Credits is paused until you reactivate it.

It depends on the type. Plan Credits are valid for the current billing cycle only: they reset on your renewal date and don't carry over. Extra Credits are valid for 180 days from the day you buy them, usable on any feature and any AI model. This 180-day window is fixed and keeps counting down continuously, even if you pause your subscription. If you've bought several packs, the oldest ones are always used first, so none go to waste while you're actively creating.

If you upgrade, it takes effect immediately and you're charged only the prorated difference. Your new, larger allowance is added to your wallet right away, and any Plan Credits you hadn't used yet are kept as a temporary bonus until the end of your current cycle. If you downgrade, it takes effect at your next renewal. You keep your current credits until then, and your new allowance applies from the following cycle. Either way, your Extra Credits are never affected by a plan change.

When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and your credits stay usable during that time (though you can't buy new Extra Credits once you've cancelled). Once that period ends, your Plan Credits are cleared, since they're tied to an active subscription. Your Extra Credits are frozen rather than lost: they remain in your wallet but can't be used until you subscribe again. If you resubscribe within their 180-day validity window, they're unfrozen automatically; past that window, they expire.

Deleting your account is permanent. All your credits, both Plan Credits and Extra Credits, are removed for good along with your data and can't be recovered, even if you open a new account later. This is different from cancelling, which only freezes your Extra Credits so you can use them again if you come back.
